Stacy received her personal training certification with The National Academy of Sports Medicine. She also holds a specialty certification from The National Academy of Sports Medicine in both Corrective Exercise and Sports Performance Exercise. In addition to fitness training, Stacy has been a supporter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society “Team in Training” Running and Triathlon Program for over 5 years. As a mentor in the TNT running program, she has encouraged and has helped train over 15 new runners to successfully run their first half marathons and/or marathons! Most importantly to Stacy, she has raised over $30,000 to aid in the fight against cancer. Supporting charities that raise funds to fight cancer is one of Stacy's highest priorities in her life.
Stacy has been an avid runner herself for over 20 years. She has run approximately (30) 5K and 10K races, (15) Half marathons and (18) marathons, including qualifying twice for the prestigious Boston Marathon. She has competed many triathlons, including 2 full Ironman triathlon distances (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, 26.2 run) and 5 half ironman distances and qualifying for the 2017 National Age Group Triathlon for her age group in a Sprint triathlon.
Stacy is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Virginia Tech with a degree in Business. She has been married for 25 years and has two children, Sydney (19) and Trey (17). Prior to starting a career in the fitness industry, Stacy worked for The Coca-Cola Company in their USA marketing department and owned an interior decorating company.
